How Omega Funeral Home Started
About Us
HISTORY
Omega Funeral Home was established in 2003. Under the leadership of our experienced, US-trained head mortician, Omega has grown into one of the most respected and sought-after funeral home in Nigeria and indeed Africa
Our philosophy is simple – to provide a compassionate, professional service to every family we are privileged to serve. Losing a loved one is never an easy time, and the burden of having to make funeral arrangements while you grieve can cause a great deal of strain. We understand this, and we are here to help.
Our mission is to offer grieving families the highest standard of professional care at affordable prices, and our ambition is to earn a reputation as the number one funeral home in Nigeria. Our commitment and belief in what we do is reflected in our services, in the dedication and professionalism of our friendly, considerate staff, and in the comfortable and spacious facilities we offer.
Over the years, we have steadily expanded our services to enable us to provide for all our client’s needs, all conveniently located in one place. Our list of services includes mortuary management, casket production and sales, recovery and preparation of human remains, repatriations, embalming, cremation, hearse and hall rentals, and all assistance you might require with funeral arrangements and planning.
We believe strongly in making funeral arrangements that are unique and personalized to reflect the wishes of the deceased and their family. Our approachable, compassionate team is available 24 hours a day to discuss plans and offer support in any way you need. Ultimately, we see our role as two-fold – to help you honour the memory of the deceased in a way that is fitting and memorable, but also to help all bereaved find their way onto the path that will, eventually, lead them through their grief. Your needs are our first priority.
Mortuary Services
Our services include:
Recovery & Pick Up
We will send one of our recovery vehicles to any location to collect human remains and bring them back to the Omega Funeral Home. With our dedicated 24-hour customer service hotline, you can contact us any time to arrange pick-up.
Embalming
Embalming is the art of preserving human remains by treating them to forestall decomposition, this allows the deceased to lay in state for a longer period while mourners pay their respects ahead of cremation or burial. At Omega, we professionally treat a body with a variety or preservatives, depending on the cause of death.
Refrigeration
internment or cremation services cannot always take place immediately, we offer carefully monitored refrigerated storage for as long as required. Our executive class refrigeration units are backed up with stand-by generators that can supply 24 hours of electricity in the event of a power outage.
Dressing
We understand the importance of the bereaved being able to pay their respects to a loved one before cremation or interment, and we take care of preparing and dressing human remains accordingly in a dignified and tasteful manner. Our dressing services are carried out in full accordance with relevant rites.
Autopsies
At our fully equipped facilities, we are also able to carry out full post-mortem examinations to help determine the cause of death.
Repatriation
One of the most difficult situations any bereaved family can face is when a loved one passes away overseas and needs to be repatriated for cremation or interment. The legal processes and paperwork involved in transporting humans remains between countries can seem daunting and are a difficult thing to handle when you are coping with grief.
Omega Funeral Homes offers a complete repatriation service aimed at taking the burden off grieving families and ensuring the body of the deceased gets to where it needs to be as quickly and efficiently as possible. Our bespoke services cover door to door repatriation to Nigeria, and also repatriation from Nigeria to any location in the world.
Working on behalf of families based within Nigeria or abroad, we can take charge of obtaining and processing all necessary repatriation documents relevant to the country of destination. Including handling health waiver applications. We will liaise with funeral directors and authorities overseas to take care of all the logistical arrangements for moving the deceased.
Whether human remains are being brought back to Nigeria or sent abroad, we guarantee handling the transportation with the utmost professionalism, care and respect.
